Build your own VR and AR training
Where FLAIM, FlashGroup and VR Patients finish, EON begins.
FLAIM, FlashGroup XR and VR Patients are specialists in fire, emergency response and clinical care. EON Reality is the general-purpose engine for everything else your workforce needs to know. Build your own VR and AR lessons in-house, from a PDF manual, a 3D scan or a typed topic, backed by a vast library of ready-made content. Supplied and supported by SkillsTrain. No headset required.
A factory for content
A course builder, not a boxed course
Most training platforms sell you content. EON Reality gives you a factory for content, and it lets your own people build the lessons. VR (virtual reality) means putting on a headset and stepping into a computer-generated world. AR (augmented reality) means seeing digital instructions laid over the real equipment in front of you. XR (extended reality) is the umbrella for both, and EON does all of it.
When a new machine arrives, a regulation changes or a near miss teaches a hard lesson, the trainer who understands it can build an interactive AR or VR lesson themselves, add a voiceover and a few checks, and have the crew practising on it. EON states a lesson can be built in minutes (EON claim). Because EON runs on ordinary phones and tablets as well as headsets, nobody has to buy a room full of hardware before anyone can learn anything.
The problem we solve
Three training gaps the specialist platforms leave open
The fixed simulators are superb at their one discipline. EON exists for everything they were never built to cover.
Boxed courses go stale
Off-the-shelf content never quite matches your plant, your rig or your procedures, and you wait on a vendor every time something changes.
High-risk training is hard to stage
You cannot walk a class through a live refinery leak or an overheating plant. In VR your people can rehearse it as often as it takes, at no risk.
Compliance is dull and skipped
The mandatory training nobody remembers becomes something people actually do, and retain, when it is hands-on rather than a slideshow.
EON answers all three: build your own lessons from your own manuals and 3D scans, model the real site down to the valves and the permit checklist, and make even compliance training worth doing.
Where the specialists stop
The general-purpose engine for everything else
FLAIM, FlashGroup and VR Patients are specialists: deep, expert-built training for firefighting, multidiscipline emergency response and clinical care. That depth is exactly why you want them. What they do not do is let you invent brand-new training for a subject they were never built for.
EON Reality is horizontal, which simply means it is not tied to one job. To be clear, EON cannot do fire. It is built for oil and gas, offshore, plant and refinery, mining, aerospace and engineering, plus the soft-skills and compliance training the specialist platforms are not designed to reach.

One ecosystem
Build, deliver and measure, all in one platform
EON is not a single tool. It is a connected set of capabilities that take you from a blank page to a measured, work-ready trainee. Every capability below is credited to EON Reality.

EON-XR and Genesis AI
The no-code authoring platform. Turn a PDF manual, a 3D scan or a typed topic into an interactive VR or AR lesson, with AI drafting the first version for you.

Knowledge Simulator
Build branching, scenario-based simulations so trainees practise decisions and see the consequences, not just watch a video.

Assess IQ
Competency assessment inside the headset. Measure whether a trainee can actually perform the task, not just answer a quiz about it.

Field IQ
Augmented reality remote assistance. A technician in the field sees digital guidance over the real equipment, or calls in an expert who sees what they see.

Assist IQ
An AI knowledge assistant that answers worker questions from your own documentation, on the device already in their pocket.

Ready-made 3D library
A large ready-made library of 3D models and lessons to start from, searchable in plain language, so your trainers are never staring at a blank page.
The AI evolution
EON is moving beyond VR into Work Intelligence
In June 2026 EON Reality launched Work Intelligence, which it describes as the missing system of record for how skilled, physical work is actually performed. The aim is to capture expert know-how while the job is being done and turn it into training and guidance others can reuse, instead of leaving it locked in one person's head. All claims here are EON's own.

2026 release
Turn your existing site scans into training
In May 2026 EON Reality launched Illuminated Intelligence, the release most relevant to the industrial and safety world SkillsTrain works in. Many plants, rigs and facilities already have detailed 3D scans of their sites that usually just sit on a drive.
Illuminated Intelligence turns them into two useful things. First, immersive training, so a worker can practise a task inside an accurate copy of the real site before they set foot in the hazardous area. Second, live field guidance, delivered to a worker on certified smart glasses while they do the job for real. It runs on hazardous-area wearables such as the RealWear Navigator Z1. All of this is described by EON Reality.
EON positions this against two problems its customers raise: experienced staff retiring faster than knowledge can be handed over, and costly unplanned downtime when something goes wrong. For a SkillsTrain client in mining, energy or heavy industry, that is a familiar pain.

The track record
A platform with global scale
These figures are published by EON Reality. We share them because the numbers are EON's own, not SkillsTrain's research.
Years capturing how work is done
Countries
Organisations using EON
EON reports operating in more than 80 countries, with over 1,000 organisations using its ecosystem, drawing on roughly twenty-five years of capturing how skilled work is done (EON figures). We prefer to show you the platform live rather than lead with a benchmark, so book a demo and build a lesson from one of your own documents.

Who it is for
Built for organisations with knowledge worth keeping
Industrial and manufacturing safety teams
Build your own machine-operation, lockout, confined-space and induction lessons from the equipment and procedures you already run. New starters practise the safe way in VR before they touch the real line.
Mining, energy and heavy industry
Turn a site scan into task training and on-the-job guidance, so a hard-to-replace skill does not walk out the door when a veteran retires.
Compliance and technical training providers
Turn a thick regulatory manual into an interactive lesson with the AI Course Engine, then update it yourself the moment the rules change, instead of waiting on a vendor.
Corporate and workforce learning
Onboarding, standard operating procedures, product knowledge and soft-skill scenarios, authored in-house and delivered to a phone, so training does not depend on booking a headset room.

EON Reality publishes these as free, open PDFs with no sign-up form. They are EON's own documents, linked so you can read the detail straight from the source.
See it for yourself
See how much you could build
The quickest way to understand EON Reality is to watch a lesson get built from one of your own documents. Book a demo and we will show you the authoring platform live, walk through the AI Course Engine, and talk through where a build-your-own approach fits alongside the specialist platforms you already know. No obligation, just a proper look at what your team could create.
Frequently asked questions
What is EON Reality and what is EON-XR?
EON Reality is a spatial AI and extended reality company. Its main product, EON-XR, is a no-code platform for building augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) training lessons. No-code means you create lessons by pointing and clicking rather than programming, so your own subject-matter experts, the people who know the job, can author immersive training from your manuals, procedures and 3D models. SkillsTrain offers EON Reality as the build-your-own platform in its VR training ecosystem. Platform facts are credited to EON Reality.
Can I build my own VR training courses without coding?
Yes. That is the whole purpose of EON-XR. Trainers build AR and VR lessons with no programming, adding voiceovers, labels, video, interactive tasks and questions. EON also includes an AI Course Engine that can draft a full course, with 3D models and quizzes, from an uploaded PDF manual or a typed topic. EON reports a simple lesson can be built in minutes, and that claim is EON's own. SkillsTrain helps you build your first lesson so your team learns the tool.
Does EON Reality need a VR headset?
No. EON-XR runs on ordinary smartphones and tablets, on desktop and in a web browser, as well as on VR and AR headsets like Meta Quest, Microsoft HoloLens and Magic Leap. Device list credited to EON. That means people can start on the devices they already have, and you can add headsets later for the lessons that benefit most from full immersion.
How is EON different from FLAIM, FlashGroup XR and VR Patients?
FLAIM, FlashGroup XR and VR Patients are finished simulators, each built by experts for one discipline: firefighting, multidiscipline emergency response and clinical care. EON Reality is a horizontal authoring platform, which means it is not tied to one subject. You use it to build immersive training for any topic your workforce needs, such as industrial procedures, compliance and technical skills. The four are complementary: the specialists give you depth in their fields, EON gives you the freedom to build everything else.
What is EON's Illuminated Intelligence?
Illuminated Intelligence is a platform EON Reality launched in May 2026. It converts existing industrial 3D scans of a site, the kind made by laser scanners or photogrammetry, into two things: immersive task training, and live field guidance delivered to workers on certified smart glasses while they do the job. EON aims it at industrial and safety-critical operations that are losing experienced staff and want to capture that knowledge. Described by EON Reality.
SkillsTrain is the Southern African supplier of EON Reality. We distribute and support the platform; the training is authored and delivered by the organisations that use it.
