ATS Firefighter I - 23 Title Series on USB

This is Action Training Systems' complete 23-title Firefighter I series, supplied on USB, and SkillsTrain, the authorised Action Training Systems (ATS) distributor in South Africa, supplies it locally. It is the standalone entry-level pathway for recruit firefighters, and it also combines with the 10-title Firefighter II series to form the full 33-title Firefighter I and II range.

The series works through the skills a new firefighter needs in a deliberate order. It opens with Firefighter Safety (Parts 1 and 2) and Fire Dynamics, the science of how fire starts, grows and spreads, then moves into personal protection with self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) introduction, use and maintenance, and Personal Protective Clothing. From there it covers Portable Extinguishers, Ropes and Knots and Fire Control, then ground ladders, Ventilation Basics and Horizontal Procedures and Vertical Ventilation. A block of hose titles follows, from Fire Hose Basics and Handling Hose to Advancing Hoselines and Fire Streams, alongside Forcible Entry, Fire Detection, Alarms and Communications, and Lighting and Power Sources. It closes with Property Conservation (salvage and overhaul) and Sprinkler Systems.

All of it is built toward NFPA 1010 (2024), the consolidated firefighter professional-qualifications standard from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) that absorbs the former NFPA 1001. All titles use ATS's teach, test and track model: the course teaches a skill on video, checks the learner as they go, and when a question is answered incorrectly it stops, backs up and replays that section before the learner moves on, so the course teaches rather than only tests.

SkillsTrain also supplies the same content as a dedicated online video series, and a facilitator guide and PowerPoint are available separately. Who it is for: academies building entry-level-only certification, or running Firefighter I and II as separate scheduled blocks.
