ATS Firefighter II - 10 Title Series on USB
This is Action Training Systems' complete 10-title Firefighter II series, supplied on USB, and SkillsTrain, the authorised Action Training Systems (ATS) distributor in South Africa, supplies it locally. It is the standalone advanced-level pathway, and it also combines with the 23-title Firefighter I series to make up the full 33-title Firefighter I and II range.
The ten titles take a firefighter past recruit level. It begins with Building Construction and Rescue Operations, then Advanced Ventilation, which builds on the horizontal and vertical ventilation taught in Firefighter I. Water Supply and Fire Control 2 deepen the suppression work, Foam Fire Streams adds foam technique, and Fire Hose Appliances covers the more advanced fittings and nozzles. The series then shifts from putting fires out to understanding and preventing them: Fire Origin and Cause covers investigation fundamentals, Pre-Incident and Fire Safety Surveys covers assessing a building before anything happens, and Fire Prevention and Public Education closes the pathway on community risk reduction.
All of it is built toward NFPA 1010 (2024), the consolidated firefighter professional-qualifications standard from the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) that absorbs the former NFPA 1001. All titles use ATS's teach, test and track model: the course teaches a skill on video, checks the learner as they go, and when a question is answered incorrectly it stops, backs up and replays that section before the learner moves on, so the course teaches rather than only tests.
SkillsTrain also supplies the same content as a dedicated online video series, with a facilitator guide and PowerPoint available separately. Who it is for: academies running Firefighter II as its own scheduled block for crews who already hold Firefighter I.
