ATS Pumping Apparatus - Online Video Series-5 Titles
This is the streaming edition of Action Training Systems' 5-title Pumping Apparatus series, and SkillsTrain, the authorised Action Training Systems (ATS) distributor in South Africa, supplies it locally. It delivers the same Driver and Operator content as the USB edition through ATS's online video library.
The five titles cover the same ground in the same order: Safe Operation of Emergency Vehicles for the safety fundamentals, Positioning Apparatus for placing the engine on scene, Operating Fire Pumps for drawing water and maintaining pressure, Apparatus Inspection and Maintenance for keeping the unit service-ready, and Water Shuttle and Relay Pumping for moving water to a scene with no direct hydrant supply. The only difference from the USB edition is how it is delivered.
It is built toward NFPA 1002, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) fire apparatus driver and operator standard. All titles use ATS's teach, test and track model: the course teaches a skill on video, checks the learner as they go, and when a question is answered incorrectly it stops, backs up and replays that section before the learner moves on, so the course teaches rather than only tests. Streaming suits training across multiple shifts from a single licence, though a stable internet connection is required because it plays online rather than from local media.
A matching facilitator guide (a lesson plan for the instructor), a PowerPoint presentation and a question bank for the FITS quiz generator are supplied separately for classroom delivery. Who it is for: academies and departments that prefer online delivery to a client learning management system (LMS) over physical USB or DVD media.
